OFFSHORE SURVIVAL (Course No SS-38)

 

 
Target Audience        :        Any staff or crew member who working on offshore
Location                     :         Training Centre at Musaffah
Objectives                  :        To ensure that all staff are competent in the procedures of offshore survival techniques.


                                          

Contents                     :        

Ø             Construction & Operating of life saving appliances.

Ø             Methods of launching different types of life rafts

Ø             Boarding the life raft & know how to deal with the capsized life raft

Ø             Construct, use and operate a TEMPSC

Ø             Procedure of lowering, releasing and boarding the TEMPSC

Ø             Survival techniques & water effects

Ø             Use of survival kit

Ø             Search & rescue procedures

Ø             Evacuate from a helicopter ditched on the surface of the sea

Ø             Escape from the partially submerged helicopter of the sea

Ø             Escape from a slow capsized helicopter

Ø             Escape from a rapid capsized helicopter.

Time                        :                 One Day Course (5 to 6 Hours) Valid for 3 years
