BASIC FIRE FIGHTING (Course No FF-27)

 

 
Target Audience        :          This course is aimed for personnel who could become involved in a fire situation i.e. Ships crew, staff in commercial workplaces etc.
Location                     :          Training Centre in Musaffah.
Objectives                  :          To ensure that students are fully conversant with the correct procedures in basic fire fighting techniques

Contents                     :                                                             

Ø             State the factors for combustion to occur

Ø             Explain classification o fires

Ø             Define fuel, Flash Point, Ignition temperature etc.

Ø             Explain transmission of heat.

Ø             State the methods of extinction

Ø             Use different types of portable fire extinguisher successfully.

Ø             Identify common causes of fires and their preventive measures.

Ø             Use basic fire fighting equipment’s successfully.

Time                        :               One Day Course (5 to 6 Hours) Valid for 3 years.
