BREATHING APPARATUS (Course No BA-21)

 

 
Target Audience        :          Any staff or crew member who is a Breathing  apparatus wearer including those working offshore in hazardous conditions.
Location                     :          Either at Training Centre in Musaffah or at Clients own    premises.
Objectives                  :          To ensure that all students are competent in the wearing  of Breathing apparatus.

Contents                     :                                                            

 

Ø        Prepare and use a Breathing Apparatus Set

Ø        Understand Breathing Apparatus control procedure

Ø        Be aware of the maintenance/routine inspection procedure

Ø        Understand the basic respiration system and the disorders possible and the effect of wearing B.A

Ø        Know the warning signs of faults with the system

Ø        Have knowledge of the correct practical wearing and duration procedures

Ø        Have experience of wearing B.A. in simulated smoke conditions with nil visibility.

Time                        :              One Day Course (5 to 6 Hours) Valid for 1 year
