ABRASIVE WHEEL (Course No GS-12)

 

 
Target Audience        :          Any staff or crew member working with abrasive wheel
Location                     :          Either at Training Centre in Musaffah or on Clients own Vessel / location.
Objectives                  :          To ensure that staff are competent in the use of abrasive Wheel/power tools, with regards
                                                                to their own and others  Safety

Contents                     :                                                            

 

                                       Ø             Safely mounting the abrasive wheel and wheel balance

Ø             Electrical and power problems related to abrasive wheel and power tools

Ø             Operate in the safety way

Ø             Understand potential hazards

Ø             Abrasive wheel offshore(work permit)

Ø             Using unsafe equipment

Ø             Grease and dust and their effects on abrasive wheel fire

Ø             P.P.E. related to abrasive wheel / power and hand tools.

Time                        :              One Day Course (5 to 6 Hours) valid for 3 year
